Ford was natural within London but is of Italian heritage. She moved by using her personal to the United States while still super young. She joined The Runaways at the age of Xvi, & when the class action folded inside 1979 began a solo career, however her number 1 both albums were limited in their profits.

Around 1985, Ford was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Performance in Gotta Let Last with Wendy O. Williams and Pia Zadora. In the 1988, with Sharon Osbourne as her manager, Ford had her large hit, Close The Eyes Forever (the duet sustaining Sharon's hubby, Ozzy Osbourne).

Lita Ford was married to Chris Holmes (from W.A.S.P.) from 1986 to 1992. She has been romantically included by having Nikki Sixx and Tony Iommi. Presently, she is married to Jim Gillette, of the band Nitro.
